Football: FECAFOOT releases list of journalists picked for Cameroon Balon D’or jury

By MK

Samuel Eto’o’s sweeping football revolution begins to take effect as FECAFOOT releases the list of the first-ever Cameroon Balon D’or jury.

The list is comprised of 21 sports journalists from several media houses across the country.

The voting process for the first-ever Cameroon Balon D’or will be as follows: 40% by the football captains and coaches, 30% by the selected jury, and the remaining percentage by the general public.

The first list of the pre selected nominees is set to be released on October 3 by the federation. Voting by the general public will mostly be via the FECAFOOT Facebook page.

The idea of the Cameroonian Balon D’or ceremony is that of current FECAFOOT president Samuel Eto’o, with his primary objective being to increase competition among the players in Cameroon’s professional football league.

It would equally be an avenue for the Cameroon football federation to duly reward the best players, coaches, and referees of Cameroon’s top championship.
