Football: Indomitable Lions Head Coach, Conceiçao denies rift with deputy

Cameroon’s Football National Team Head Coach, Antonio Conceiçao has put off rumors of an alleged rift between him and his deputy coach, François Oman Biyik.

Many pundits have claimed that the pair are not in tandem with each other, owing to their distant communication even in the most public of events such as in international football matches.

The former Cameroonian striker, Oman Biyik most especially is claimed to hardly communicate with his head coach, sparking off rumors that all was not well in the Lion’s Den.

Coach Conceiçao has nevertheless put off any flames of alleged discord between him and his assistant, by insisting before the press, that he was on the same page with all his staff.

“Everyone has their particularity within the staff. François has great knowledge of African and Cameroon football… After each summons, new players always appear from the country, so everyone has their knowledge… We work as a team whether, with François or others, we do a totally transparent job with the exchange of information,” said Conceiçao.
