CPDM politician and businessman, Senator Awanga Zacharia has reportedly died.
His demise was confirmed today by family sources.
He is said to have died at the Yaoundé General Hospital following a brief illness.
A family member wrote “We are sorry to announce the passing onto glory of senator Awanga Zacharia. He passed on yesterday night by 11:30pm after a brief illness”.
Senator Awanga was former majority shareholder of the National Fund Credit Bank, NFC bank and also the Brain behind the Samaritan Insurance company.
Born in October 31 1951, he was a top businessman in the academic, financial and hospitality sectors in Cameroon.
