Funds for the construction of the Bamenda and Kousseri football stadia have been made available.

This was disclosed in the course of an event that took place yesterday, August 4, 2022 in Yaoundé.

During the closing ceremony marking the last day of training for sports reporters on June 27, 2022, The President of the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT announced the financing of projects to construct stadia across Cameroon.

“We will begin with the North West region. Bamenda will have it’s first up to standard stadium,” Samuel Eto’o Fils said.

According to Ade Divine, “The resident representative of UNDP, Jean-Luc Stalon announced that funds to the tune of 1.5 billion francs are now ready for the first two stadiums to be built in Bamenda and Kousseri.”

The Cameroon Football Federation and its partners are equally making plans to raise another 7 billion francs for the construction of 8 more football stadiums.
