The Divisional Officer for Guider in the Far North has ordered the closure of all shops as the new Senior Divisional Officer for the Mayo-Louti Division is set to be installed.
Gilles Emmanuel Sadi was appointed as new SDO of Mayo-Louti following a recent presidential decree.
The information was contained in a release signed on August 2, 2022, by Mohamadou Oumarou, Guider DO.
The release prohibits the opening of all commercial and leisure places in the Guider Subdivision on August 6, from 6 am to 12 am.
He indicated that “… on the occasion of the ceremony of change of command between the outgoing and incoming Senior Divisional Officers of Mayo-Louti, which will take place, at the Place de Fêtes de Guider, it is strictly forbidden, the opening of any place of commerce and leisure, for the day of Saturday, August 6, 2022, from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.”
Oumarou added: “Any offender is liable to penalties provided for by the regulations in force.”
He concluded by urging the people to rather mobilize massively, to give a special shine to the event.
