Nursing mother, Kongso Antoinette who is former girl friend of dreaded separatist General, No Pity will appear before the Buea military court on Thursday December 29, 2022.
She is charged for ‘failure to report acts of terrorism’ allegedly committed by her former lover.
Defense lawyer for the accused, Barrister Tamfu Richard says it will be another legal battle for a woman imprisoned since 2021.
“Another legal battle begins in open Court at the Buea Military Tribunal this Thursday 29th December 2022 at 9am for Kongso Antoinette Gohla who is detention at the Buea Central Prison since the 08th October 2021 and accused for ‘failure to report acts of terrorism’ of her 4years ex-boyfriend a certain Mbashie Clement, a separatist fighter popularly known as General No Pity,” Barrister Tamfu Richard told Mimi Mefo Info.
Antoinette was arbitrarily arrested and tortured by an overzealous Cameroonian soldier, Chief Ewome John popularly called Moja Moja.
she was eight months pregnant at the time of her arrest and finally delivered of a baby while in prison custody.
Reports say she was granted bail by the Buea Court of Appeal.
Cameroonian authorities, however, refused to execute the court order keeping her in detention for 14 months and counting.
