Former regime baron has challenged government to respect the will of the people.
Edouard Akame Mfoumou has stated at the decentralisation commission and local governance at the national dialogue that:
“Article 62 of the constitution gives the opportunity for Specificity of some amendment be made to solve this crisis . This preaching on Decentralization isn’t different from what, we have been talking year in and year out”.
He added that, “the head of state has given this forum the chance to solve the problem of our brothers from north west and South west. Article 62 of the constitution gives a provision , which could permit the NWR and SWR go on federalism, and the rest of the regions go on decentralization”.
“Thus, let’s give these regions their motion raised on federalism to solve the ongoing crisis,” he said.
Worthy of notice is the fact that, majority of Anglophones at the national dialogue talks, have said federalism is the way out of the crisis in the North West and South West regions.
