Health minister says “invisible” Biya is active in fight against Covid-19

Public health minister, Dr Manaouda Malachie has assured Cameroonians on the role played by president Biya in the fight against COVID-19.

He quotes the president as calling him”… every day in the morning and evening, to get information on the situation ground and to give instructions on how to effectively fight corona virus.”

The politician’s response comes at a time when rumours have it that the head of state has passed away.

Addressing Biya’s silence over the pandemic, MRC’s Kamto has given the statesman seven days to indicate proof of life. Failure to do so, “we would be forced to initiate adequate legal procedures to obtain confirmation, by the competent bodies, of the presidential vacancy and its constitutional consequences.”
