Authorities in Cameroon are said to be assessing damages recorded following an accident involving a military plane c130 yesterday evening.
The plane missed the tarmac of the Salak airport in Maroua Far North region, running into a grass field.
The plane was coming in from Yaounde when the incident happened: “the aircraft landed in heavy rains and the visibility was not good for the pilot” a source states.
He adds “he (the pilot) landed but did not control the speed.”
While no human life was lost and no injuries were recorded, images show parts of the aircraft damaged.
