The Hope For All Association (HOFAA), led by Madam Nsom Ouahouo Tama Eucharia, successfully concluded a one-week women’s empowerment project held from February 22nd to 29th, 2024. The initiative, which coincided with the 2024 International Women’s Day theme of “Invest in Women, Accelerate Progress,” equipped over 100 women with valuable skills in producing various products, including liquid and powder soap, beaded jewelry, soybean products, and liquid pepper.

The program culminated in a grand ceremony on February 29th, attended by the West Region Governor’s representative, the SDO (Senior Divisional Officer), traditional rulers, and other dignitaries. The ceremony acknowledged HOFAA’s significant contributions to the region’s humanitarian and socio-economic development.

One of the beneficiaries, Foingwe Peaceful, expressed her gratitude to Madam Eucharia in a heartwarming message: “Thank you for the great training, your enthusiasm and [words] were very motivational and you’ve given us a lot to think about… May the almighty God continue to bless you more and more.”

Madam Eucharia, the President of HOFAA, delivered a powerful speech highlighting the organization’s mission and achievements. She emphasized the importance of empowering individuals to become self-sufficient rather than solely relying on handouts.

“We discovered that giving fish everyday to them can never be enough,” she stated, explaining HOFAA’s shift towards skills training. “HOFAA has been doing all these things… but we discovered that we might never satisfy the underprivileged, so we thought training them will be better.”

The week-long training covered the production of various in-demand goods, aiming to equip participants with the ability to generate income and improve their livelihoods. Madam Eucharia further emphasized the importance of community support and collaboration: “Let’s not mock at people when they are in difficult situations… We can do it. Let’s move with the needy.”

The ceremony concluded with expressions of gratitude to various individuals and organizations who have supported Hope for All Association’s endeavours. The association looks forward to continuing its work towards building a stronger and more sustainable future for all.
