Barrister Ayukotang Ndep Nkongho is expected at the Limbe Company gendarmerie brigade by 9:00 am this morning August 20th 2020.

He has been asked to go along with his client whose daughter was shot in Tiko by suspected military men.

Barrister Ayukotang Ndep Nkongho arrested Tuesday evening this week was released yesterday Wednesday by the gendarmerie promising they will continue their investigation and prosecute the lawyer for taking pictures of a patient (client ) in the hospital in Limbe.

Speaking to Mimi Mefo Info on phone this morning, the lawyer said: “My arrest was arbitrary and the intention of La Republic is to intimidate me and my client to change the fact that my innocent client is a terrorist. I will not relent, no matter the intimidation.”

He explains that his client was shot by the military in Tiko while she was searching for snails. He says to get the facts and efficiently defend her, gendarmes arrested and detained him.

Barrister Ayukotang reacting to the total solidarity shown to him by lawyers said: “I lack words to express how grateful I am to all my colleagues in Cameroon and most especially Fako Lawyers Association(FAKLA). I saw them sacrificing everything they had just to make sure that I am released. God will bless them abundantly for defending the course of justice. I will come out with an official statement to thank my colleagues and everyone that stood by me.”

It should be noted that bar Ayukotang Ndep Nkongho is one of the leading lawyers defending Sisiku Ayuk Tabe Julius and other anglophone detainees arrested in connection to the anglophone crisis.
