The legal counsel of the SDF has reminded the Constitutional Council that election results presented by ELECAM from the restive North West and South West regions of Cameroon are fake.

Barristers, Sama Francis, Moustapha Ngwana and Co have maintained that security concerns, onslaught between Security forces and pro-independence fighters, low rate of registered voters and electors in the anglophone regions are some of the reasons why the October 7th election should be annuled.

“If you claim voting took place in the North West and South West regions, you are legitimizing the stance of secessionist” both lawyers said.

“Soldiers are killed, civilians die everyday…how can polling operations take place in such an atmosphere…” Barrister Ngwana noted.

Barrister Sama Francis on his part presented the security situation in the anglophone regions which he said greatly disfavoured a hitch free election;
“Let the President come to Bamenda, talk to his children as he did in Maroua…go meet the children yourself, do Not send commissions…stop fooling the Head of State” he declared.

Barrister Sama continued:
“You need to meet them face to face, and you will not be saying what you are saying here…The Amba boys will rejoice, yes they are listening to me now…Don’t give them justification and legitimise secession”
The SDF legal counsel concluded by cautioning the Constitutional Council members to stand on the path of the truth;
“Posterity will judge you, don’t miss this golden opportunity to write your name in the golden books of our nation’s history, by annulling this election”

The court’s ruling is still awaited.
