Injured Anglophone IDP in urgent need of medical care

Therese, an Internally Displaced lady from Njinikom in the North West region is in urgent need of medical care.

After she was hit by a number of stray bullets, she managed to find her way to Dschang and later to Douala in the Littoral region still without receiving any medical care.

For a start, what she is in dire need of is emergency medical care to treat her wounds and relieve her from the scorching pain.

Therese’s ordeal

The lone survivor after an attack on their home, Therese incurred bullet wounds in her native Njinikom village in the North West region.

After losing everything, Therese lived in the bush for a week, before walking to the regional capital, Bamenda. After living in Bamenda and finding no care, she once more braved the odds and injuries, to head to Mbouda in the West region.

She later left for Douala in the Littoral region to find a family friend she believed could be of assistance.

By a stroke of luck, Therese finally found the friend, but remains desperate due to the high costs needed to provide medical care for her as well as get her back on her feet.

Though humanitarians have stepped in to assist with feeding and some medical care, more needs to be done.
