Social Democratic Front (SDF) presidential candidate Hon. Joshua Osih has officially acknowledged the outcome of Cameroon’s October 12, 2025 presidential election, expressing gratitude to supporters and reaffirming his commitment to national unity and democratic values.

In an end-of-campaign statement, Osih commended the dedication of his campaign team and voters who “believed in a better Cameroon,” while recognizing that the election results did not favor his candidacy. He emphasized respect for the people’s verdict, describing it as the “sovereign will of the Cameroonian people.”

Osih reiterated his party’s vision for a “complete digitalization of Cameroon’s public administration” to enhance transparency and efficiency in future elections. He acknowledged reported irregularities during the vote but expressed confidence that the Constitutional Council would handle the matter with “rigor, fairness, and independence.”

Declaring that the “stability of our nation and the preservation of peace must always come first,” Osih said the SDF would refrain from any legal challenge that could jeopardize national unity. He pledged to personally congratulate the eventual winner once the results are confirmed.

Closing his message, Osih dedicated his campaign’s efforts to “the ordinary Cameroonian” and called for renewed faith in the country’s democratic process, stating: “It is Cameroon that must emerge victorious from this election.”

“Long live our democracy, long live Cameroon,” he concluded.
