The former general manager of Cameroon Radio and Television, CRTV has spent three years in detention at the Kondengui prison in Yaounde. For three years, his trial has been adjourned twenty four times. In a five page document written in his prison cell, the former general manager of CRTV examines that “justice delayed is justice denied”.Detained and standing trial for embezzlement and inflation of CRTV audio visual taxes, Mr Vamoulke denied all allegations saying the treasury managed all finances that came in as audio visual taxes and therefore had nothing to do with that.Amadou Vamouke holds that he has been illegally imprisoned and his rights violated by some individuals in the regime of President Paul Biya. In the domain of transparent management of finances, he holds that President Paul Biya can equally testify of his probity as he wrote to Biya upon appointment as GM of CRTV declining the high salary received by his predecessor. In the release, Amadou Vamouke says he divided the salary by four for himself as the general manager as a means to reduce wasteful spending at CRTV.Despite all these, Vamoulke says his detractors edited a video of the daughter of the president half naked purportedly aired on Cameroon Radio and Television.Besides all these, the former GM of CRTV expressed regret that he has been denied medical evacuation despite haven diagnosed of neuropathic complications. For him, the refusal of temporal release for medical reasons shows the level of cynicism of the judicial system and the regime as a whole. He concludes in a prophetic tone saying “Truth always gets its revenge, who ever hates or ignores it sooner or later becomes its prey”.Mimi Mefo Info.
