The president of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement Professor Maurice Kamto has asked his militants in jail not to listen to conspiracy theories that claim he has abandoned them to their fate.
Professor Maurice Kamto made these remarks at a meeting he held with some of his militants who were recently released by the military court. He told the militants that in no way had he ever abandoned them and that all talk about that were mere distractions.
“If I had abandoned you my dear friends, and if I were one of those who stay behind and send you ahead, I would not have gone to jail in 2019…,” he argued.
He reassured them that the Cameroon Renaissance Movement will always be by their side, “today, tomorrow, whether free or in detention.”
