Kid rescued with swollen belly, Success Mongwa, recovering after second surgery

The kid brought to a hospital by the humanitarian organisation Ayah Foundation, suffering from a swollen stomach, Success Mongwa , is said to be recovering after a second operation.

His operation was funded by persons of goodwill. After video of Mongwa went viral on Mimi Mefo Infos and other social media platforms, some Non governmental Organizations, NGOs, and humanitarian structures offered help.

Mongwa was transported from Wabane in the Lebialem division of the South West region to the Bamenda Regional Hospital in the North West region.

He has since been catered for at the facility thanks to donations from persons of goodwill and help from the Ayah Foundation. After weeks of draining many litres of liquid from the kid’s belly, he was operated on March 10th 2022. He has thus had two surgeries done already, a major and a minor one.

Mongwa is one of persons in need given hope by the Ayah Foundation. The institution remains one of the foremost in terms of delivering aid to the needy in Cameroon’s English-speaking regions and beyond, especially victims of the armed conflict raging on there.
