A radio technician of a local broadcasting station in Bamenda who was abducted over the weekend has regained his freedom.
Akum Emmanuel fondly called Pablo was set free Wednesday morning by his kidnappers.
The circumstances leading to his abduction and released has remains unclear.
Authorities of Hot Cocoa radio where Akum Emmanuel has been serving as radio technician and pidgin news broadcaster say he was picked up Saturday.
It has not been immediately known why he was kidnapped .
Meanwhile no group has claimed responsibility for the abduction.
However, it is being alleged he was taken away by separatist fighters in the restive North West region. Kidnappings have been recurrent in Bamenda since what began as a protest for reforms in 2017 morphed into an armed conflict in the Anglophone regions of Cameroon.
