Another detainee of the Anglophone crisis has reportedly died of medical neglect at the Kondengui maximum security prison in Yaounde, MMI has gathered
Asang Virginus, reports say died of Leukemia, November 17, 2022.
Sources say he was not given any medical attention to safe his life.
“Virginus has finally died. I am so heartbroken” an inmate told MMI.
The 52-year old arrested and imprisoned five years ago due to the Anglophone crisis, had a health challenge which authorities totally ignored.
“He had leukemia and needed blood transfusion but was not given assistance” the inmate revealed.

It should be that noted this is occuring just a day after a similar incidence at Buea Central Prison where a detainee of Anglophone crisis, Rudolf Angue was reportedly allowed to die for lack of medical care.
