Kumbo demands release of kidnapped teachers

The population of Kumbo, Bui Division in the North West region is asking for the release of at least eleven teachers kidnapped Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at the campus of Presbyterian School Kumbo.

The Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon(PCC) Rt. Rev. Fonki Samuel has confirmed news of the kidnap, revealing that 11 teachers and management staff were among.

Locals say PS Kumbo is one of the few schools that have been functioning in Bui division.

The management of the school has been threatened several times by boys who identify themselves as separatists fighters.

Security forces in Kumbo are reported to have launched a man hunt to get the kidnappers.
