Martin Foe Amougou, father of late Indomitable striker, Marc-Vivien Foe has accused the latter’s wife of being responsible for his death which occurred 19 years ago while the striker was playing in the Confederations Cup tournament.
The revelation was made yesterday, Friday July 1 during a programme on Vision 4 Television.
According to Martin Foe, his son did not die as a result of an accident neither did he die of health complications.
“Marc was never sick, Marc trained himself in a good state.” he stated.
He went further to reveal that his son was at the verge of filing a divorce with his wife.
The father of the late striker narrated that Marie-Louise had brought some food at midnight, before his last match.
He indicated that “When Marc ate the food, he began vomiting and having diarrhoea, to the extent that we had to call the team’s doctor who worked on him the whole night.”
Martin Foe added that he has not been able to set his eyes on his grand children since his son’s demise 19 years ago.
It should be recalled that Martin Foe recently made claims accusing his daughter-in-law of forcefully inheriting his son’s possessions and squandering his money.
However, the revelation has caused a stir on social media as persons seek to know the reason for his silence all this while.
Many have also questioned how a team doctor would have allowed a footballer who was unwell the whole night, to participate in such a crucial encounter.
Marc Foe mysteriously died during a match against Colombia at the 72nd minute on June 26, 2003.
