Days after a complaint was filed against Buea-based traditional ruler, John Ewome aka Moja Moja, a group of human rights lawyers have said they are positive he will soon be called to justice.

The traditional ruler cum soldier was dragged to court by a group of legal practitioners lead by Barrister Tamfu Richard.

They are accusing the soldier of torture, and other vices, committed in the execution of his duties.

“We can not continue to sit back watching this guy unleashing terror and acts of violence on innocent civilians with impunity,” Barrister Tamfu had remarked.

“In the days ahead, a summons will be issued for Moja Moja to report in court for interrogation and confrontation with his videos,” Barrister Tamfu who initiated the legal battle against Moja Moja told MMI.

Moja Moja since the complaint was tabled, has made no public reaction to the accusations.

However, he appeared on national television a week ago, were he tried to justify his actions.

To him, he has no hatred for Northwesterners given that his wife is from the region.

However on multiple occasions , he has been seen parading the streets of Buea and his native Bwassa village calling on those of the North West region to return.

In one of his latest outings caught on tape, he was seen shaving the heads of two boys, accusing hem of being separatist fighters, due to their region of origin.

In yet another, he was seen kicking a young man into his boot before locking it up.
