Limbe: mechanic clocks two weeks in detention for allegedly stealing car part

A local mechanic in the Seaside town of Limbe – South West region called Bobga Benedict is currently in his second week in police detention now.

Bobga is accused stealing a car part which belonged to a chief.

Chief Fondason of Maveo village who got the man arrested has reportedly repelled all attempts at granting the mechanic bail, insisting together with his lawyer that the car part must be provided as a prerequisite for his freedom.

Despite the allegation of theft, the mechanic, Bobga Benedict has denied all accusations and maintained that he is innocent of any wrongdoing.

He was arrested on July 24, 2021, and has been under detention since then, with no option of bail.

Chief Fondason is adamant that he stole the part and that he must provide it before regaining his freedom.

Helpless and not financially viable to get himself a good lawyer, the mechanic remains in a tight corner with little hope.
