A man whose name MMI got as Mbah Lionel Tebeck has been discovered dead in a locality in Mbanga subdivision, Moungo division of the Littoral region. Many suspect that, Tebeck might have committed suicide.
He was found hanging from a tree. First responders say, he was discovered with a bottle filed with an insecticide locally known as Mokap. It remains uncertain if he injested any of it.
The exact reason behind Tebeck’s death by suspected suicide remains unknown. However, it is believed to be linked to the fact that he had lost money he was given by a business partner to purchase palm oil in huge quantities.
“… his bike was confiscated at the quarter council where he was asked to go and bring the money before taking his bike,” a source familiar with the incident recounted.
The source added that “Fifteen minutes after, we saw children running and shouting that he had died by hanging”. The deceased’s body was taken down from the tree pending burial.
