A tenant whose name MMI got as Joseph has sued his landlord for using part of the rented premises. This was after he the tenant failed to pay rents for nine years.

The drama is said to be unfolding in Douala, economic city of Cameroon.

Joseph had reportedly occupied the premises that he transformed into a shop in a building in Akwa, Douala for more than 20 years.

The landlord says he believes its all a dream, as he is being dragged to court for his own property.

The landlord revealed that the tenant owes the sum of 3 million FCFA considering the fact that the latter has not paid a dime since the year 2013.

Meanwhile, the tenant on his part has accused the landlord of using part of the rented premises without his consent and has demanded compensation.

Whatever the outcome, the landlord says his sole desire, which is to see his property vacated by the current occupant who, according to him, almost ruined it.
