The municipality of Logone-Birni in Cameroon’s Far North Region is plunged into deep sadness. Abakar Brahim, the area’s Mayor, passed away this Wednesday, January 21, in N’Djamena following a brief illness.
A respected figure in local governance, Abakar Brahim was known for his closeness to the people and his unwavering commitment to municipal development.
Several initiatives were launched during his tenure, targeting essential sectors such as infrastructure, health, and education, with the goal of sustainably improving residents’ living conditions.
