A man whose name, MMI got as Ngwa Richard who was arrested by the military in Bafut, Mezam Division of the North West Region had been found death.

The man was reportedly arrested by the military on patrol on Thursday July 7, 2022 when he was returning from morning prayers.

Family sources say, he was not found after his arrest — not even after a search for him was conducted in several security posts in Bafut.

“We checked at the police station but we did not find him,” a family source told MMI.

“One lady told us that he saw a man pulled out of a military truck and shot death at the Bafut airport where the military is stationed,” the source said adding that, “his corps was taken back into the truck.”

Upon getting this news, the family reportedly started searching for Richard’s body.

“We started searching for his corpse. We were told to check in Wum where some dead bodies were dumped but we didn’t see him there,” she narrated.

“We returned to Bafut and were still directed to another spot littered with death bodies, but found nothing,” she went on.

After several days of continues search, “we finally found his body in one mashy area in Bafut.”

Ngwa Richard was a welder in Agyati and a father of four. Relatives have described him as peaceful and calm, and that had nothing to do with the ongoing crisis.

“I don’t know why he was killed. We are in pains,” the source lamented.

“They are destroying all the men here. No man is walking around here anymore. Go to Wum or around Bafut, you will see corpses of abled men everywhere,” she wept.
