Manu Dibango succumbs to coronavirus

Cameroon is in shock following the death of all of all time best soul makossa artists Manu Dibango.

According to family members, Manu Dibango, age 86, died in France Tuesday march 24th 2020 from COVID 19 (Coronavirus).

“Dear family, dear friends, dear fans, a voice raises from far away… It is with deep sadness that we announce the loss of Manu Dibango, our Papy Groove, who passed away on 24th of March 2020, at 86 years old, further to covid 19” the message reads on his official Facebook page.

Manu Dibango got infected with Coronavirus on march 18th 2020 in France, and was rushed to the hospital, when social media announced his death same day.

Few minutes later, his family denied rumours of his demise stating that he was calm in the hospital.

“Dear audience, dear friends, We would like to inform you that further to a recent admission in hospital linked to Covid 19, Manu Dibango is resting well and calmly recovering. He kindly asks you to respect his privacy. He can’t wait to meet you again soon, and in those troubled times we all go through, wants you to take very good care of yourselves
Warmly”.

However his situation worsened shortly after the information got released on his official page, according to a close source.

Scared of his worsening health situation, Manu Dibango was transferred to an intensive care unit of a private hospital in Paris where he finally died.
