The leader of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement (CRM), Maurice Kamto, has said that as long as the Biya regime is in power, Cameroonians’ lives will continue to be in grave danger.

Kamto’s declaration was made while reacting to the brutal murder of Cameroonian journalist Martinez Zogo.

Zogo, a popular radio anchor, was found dead hours ago, less than one week after he was abducted in Yaounde and taken to an unknown location.

In a recent tweet, Maurice Kamto reacted to the murder, noting that “if this information is confirmed, it would be proven that every Cameroonian citizen is in total insecurity under the declining CPDM regime.”

By classifying the information as a “rumor,” Kamto effectively indicated that the killing will remain a matter of speculation in the absence of an official government response.

“… a statement from the government on January 22 to confirm the rumor of the assassination of Martinez Zogo,” Kamto wrote on his Twitter account.

The radio host was stripped naked, and his body was abandoned on an empty stretch of uninhabited land.
