In what has been a continues decline in moral standards in secondary and higher institutes of learning in Cameroon, the Senior Divisional Officer for Mbam and Inoubou, Monono Absalom Woloa has launched a tirade against the practice of homosexuality in school establishments across his sphere of influence.

In a correspondence which the state authority sent out on November 24, 2020, Monono Absalom Woloa urged heads of establishments in the Mbam and Inoubou Divison to denounce all forms of homosexuality in their institutions as well as take appropriate measures to fight this act which he refers to as ‘an occult practice’.

The SDO has threatened the worst to potential homosexuals in the division who fail to deviate from the acts. He maintains that the moral uprightness of the country and his Division are not to be compromised what so ever be the case.

Indeed an individual was beaten to death by the population in Bafia some weeks ago as he attempted to rape a student. It should be noted also that the state issues penalties of at least 20, 000 – 200, 000frs plus a 6 months to 5 years of prison sentence for anyone found to be in any intimate affair with someone of his own gender.
