Mbengwi: Guneku Fondom, SHESA donates to House of Hope Orphanage

H.R.H Dr. Fomuki W. Ticha, Fon of Guneku village, Momo division of the North West region and his mates of the silver jubilee class of Sacred Heart Ex Students Association (SHESA), have donated some items to the House of Hope Orphanage, Ngyen-Mbo Mbengwi.

The donation exercise which was carried out Thursday July 29, 2021 came as a result of a distress call that came from the orphanage some months back. Images were circulated on social media were the children were seen crying.

It is because of this distress call that the fon of Guneku village and his mates with whom they schooled together at Sacred Heart college Mankon decided to come to their aid.

Instead of donating the usual food items to the orphanage, they decided to provide them with something that can go a long way to in generating income for the orphanage. After findings, they decided to provide grinding Mills to them.

The Mills will be used to grind the children’s food and also serve the entire Ngyen-Mbo community that has no grinding mill.

In addition to the grinding mill, SHESA also handed over 200.000FCFA to run the machine during the early months of it’s operation.

Apart from the machine and cash, the children were also given fresh fishes harvested from the Guneku Fon’s palace.

In appreciation, Madam Ayafor Marvis, founder and matron of the orphanage said she didn’t expect this kind of support from them.

The House of Hope Orphanage was founded in 2012 and today it harbours more than 50 kids.
