Cho Desmond from Mbu in Baforchu, a village in Cameroon’s the North West, just one year after graduating from National Polytechnic Bamenda’s Department of Animal Production Technology is already working wonders.
With a certification in Agricultural Engineering, Cho Desmond has returned to his village where he has taken up farming and animal production as a way of life.
The very young, smart and intelligent young Cameroonian believes in the pidgin proverb which says “ground no di fool person” (meaning the soil doesn’t fail.)
He says the time is now to embrace agriculture.
“If you want to wait until the weather is very conducive for planting, then you will never plant,” says Cho Desmond. “The Mbu (Baforchu) soil is very fertile for agriculture. You just need to discover it for yourself.”
Cho Desmond is soliciting assistance that can be financial, shared knowledge, in kind, prayers etc.
He is currently in need of insecticides, manure, spraying equipment, quality seeds, and storage equipment given the fact that he is dealing with perishable goods.
