Meme ignores councilors, motions support to Paul Biya after “appointment” of Bakoma Elango

“… We are very grateful to the head of state for what he has done to Meme division…,” read a declaration by Senator Andrew Otte Mofa in Kumba, Meme Division in the South West region of Cameroon.

“… On behalf of councilors, parliamentarians, senators, chiefs and all living forces in the division, Meme division is sending this motion of support to the head of state through the SDO of Meme to tell him that we are grateful and that we are behind him”.

Without expressing gratitude to regional councilors of the South West region for voting Bakoma Zacheaus Elango as pioneer president of the regional council assembly in the South West, elites of Meme division rather applaud president Paul Biya for ‘favouring’ Meme division.

To Hon. Lawson Tabot, “God has favoured Kumba and Meme division. Those in the bushes should give peace a chance. Let the population support president Paul Biya for more better things for the division “.

The overwhelming appreciation to President Paul Biya following the election of Bakoma Zachaeus Elango as president of the South West regional council has left many questioning if it was a disguised appointment facilitated through a voting process.

According to a source within the ranks of Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) in Kumba, Bakoma Elango was designated to be president of the regional council by the central committee of the CPDM party headed by president Paul Biya.

Note that the ruling party ran unopposed for the regional council in the South West region of Cameroon.
