A lady by name Nchinda Ophilia has been killed by her military boyfriend in Bamenda, Northwest Region on Sunday June 26.
The lady in question hailed from Nguinkei, Oku a village in the North West Region and had a son with the military official.
It is said that the military official initially resided in Oku where he met the deceased. The couple later on moved to Bamenda, following his transfer.
According to a source “The girl was first residing at Mile 3 Bamenda upon arrival but later transferred to up station where she was killed.”
Sources revealed that the main reason behind the murder was the lady’s attempt to return to Oku against the will of the said military boyfriend.
“The soldier angrily inserted his gun into the girl’s mouth, shooting her dead on the spot,” a source confirmed.
It is however unclear whether the above mentioned was the sole reason for the brutal act.
