MO.DEC.NA condemns assassination attempt on Prof. Maurice Kamto

The Democrat Movement of National Conscience known by its French acronym MO.DEC.NA has condemned an attempt to assassinate prof. Maurice Kamto, leader of Cameroon Renaissance Movement party on Friday March 13th 2020 in Garoua in the North region of Cameroon.

In a release signed by the national president of MO DEC NA Friday March 13th, Bruno Deffo describes the attempt as a cowardly move by people who are standing against democracy in Cameroon. He also reaffirmed the support of his political party to the leader of CRM party .

According to the leader of MO DEC NA party, the government of Cameroon needs to ensure a thorough investigation and an impartial trial of two suspects arrested.

MO DEC NA is one of the first political parties that has condemned the assassination attempt while others like the ruling CPDM party is yet to comment.

On the part of CRM party, it has called on the national and international community to bear witness of the attempt to assassinate a political party leader.
