Militants of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement (CRM) political party are demanding an impartial judgement of two men suspected to have attempted to assassinate Prof. Maurice Kamto today in Garoua.The suspects were arrested by security agents of the CRM party and handed over to competent security forces in Garoua.

A young man was shot dead at Azire New church Junction in Bamenda, North West region today morning. Eyewitnesses say he was in possession of a pistol. Since the February twin elections, the town has recorded an upsurge in violence and attacks and insecurity for the residents.
General No Pity has denied carrying out last weekend’s attack in Galim in the West region of Cameroon. The separatist leader denied the allegation in a video circulating on social media. Armed men on the evening of March 7 2020 attacked the police station and gendarmerie in Galim, making away with ammunition. Some security forces were wounded and others lost their lives in the attack.

A delegation of medical experts from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) is to begin an inspection visit to Cameroon tomorrow. The number of people killed in clashes between rival armed groups in the Central African Republic has risen to 40, local media report. Most of the deaths were civilians – a dozen have reportedly been buried in a mass grave.
