Crops earlier planted by farmers in some parts of the division have withered following a prolong absence of rain.

“We don’t know if to plant again or wait until the rain falls. How long are we going to wait?” a local farmer questions.

The absence steady rain to help crops germinate well has also been reported in several parts of the North West region.

Ngokentujia division is one of the areas hit by the anglophone crisis.

Because of insecurity, some people have fled the locality while farmers are not sure of going to their farms regularly following activities of separatists and the military.
