The new Senior Divisional Officer (SDO) for Bui, Gilbert Meyong has officially taken over duty in the divisional headquarters Kumbo.

This was Wednesday, October 27, after North West Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique performed the installation rights.

During the installation ceremony, the North West governor insisted that the 37-year-old Gilbert Meyong should use his experience to drum up support for a return to normalcy in the restive division.

Speaking shortly after his installation, the new SDO for Bui regrets that the hostile atmosphere has dealt a huge blow to health and education in the division.

“People have suffered and they have suffered enough. The time has come for a new paradigm, a new hope, and a new political entity in the division”, SDO Gilbert Meyong said.

Northwest governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique challenged the new administrator to restore peace and revamp the development of the troubled division.

” The proud Bui has to come back and join in nation-building”, the governor noted.

Gilbert Meyong before his appointment was Divisional Officer for Kumbo Central subdivision headquarters of the Bui division which has witnessed at least three military operations in less than two years.
