Reports say Jean Pierre Amougou Belinga and his collaborators who are currently being detained in connection with Martinez Zogo’s murder were taken this afternoon to the place where he was killed to simulate the journalist’s abduction and eventual killing process.
Popoli newspaper, Cameroon’s renowned satirical daily magazine, featuring cartoons, reports, polemics said Belinga and other suspects could be taken to Ebogo 3, where Zogo’s body was discovered on January 22.
The satiric newspaper sketched the suspects being drawn by an officer to the various places that Martinez Zogo went through from when he was abducted on January 17.
Amougou Belinga has reportedly denied his involvement in the journalist’s murder, although a testimony by one of the suspects, Justin Danwe, directly linked him to the killing.
The media billionaire was arrested on Tuesday alongside two of his close associates, including his father-in-law Raymond Etoundi Nsoe and employee Bruno Bidkang.
