The media yesterday went wild with the news of three girls declared missing in Bamenda, North West Region, and found in the nation’s capital Yaounde.
Family sources had indicted a pastor for keeping them away from their relatives.
Sources close to the Pastor however, say she only acted as a rescuer to the kids, and has not been keeping them hostage.
A source familiar with the story says her Pastor was simply being a good samaritan, before getting entangled in the situation.
Contrary to earlier reports, she says her pastor had been returning from a trip when she met the said girls at the travel agency.
They were being scrambled over by commercial bike riders, when she intervened.
“She entered the car to go but lost peace. Her spirit told her these children are not okay…”
When quizzed, the kids are said to have been brought to Yaounde by a certain Nancy.
After being compelled to, the girls have the contacts of their parents in Bamenda who were then contacted.
“The children spoke with their parents … ” Nkwain Irene states, saying they did so under hard struggle.
They were then taken to the church before being handed to a Gendarmerie in the locality for their parents and guardians to come get them.
