New World Vocational Training Institute: Menchum North MP to Support Registration of Trainees from Fungom, Furu-Awa Subdivisions

The Member of Parliament, MP, for the Menchum North Constituency, Hon Kum John Nji, has opted to secure the registration of some trainees willing to study at Yaounde-based New World Technology Vocational Training Institute.

The lawmaker announced the good news recently ahead of the start of the 2026/2027 academic year.

Through the partnership with the vocational training centre, some 15 trainees will be offered partial scholarships to study at the institute.

Of the number, the Member of Parliament, has agreed to pay the registration of two trainees while the remaining 13 trainees will have their enrollment fee covered by the vocational training institute.

The trainees will be selected from across Fungom and Furu-Awa Subdivisions in Menchum Division.

In all, potential beneficiaries will include 10 persons from Fungom Subdivision and five from Furu Awa Subdivision.

The move, it was gathered, is part of the MP’s efforts to boost skills acquisition and combat unemployment.

“Those willing to benefit from this partial scholarship should prepare their files and deposit at the office of New World Technology Vocational Training Institute in Yaounde,” the MP is quoted to have said.

Meanwhile the founder of New World Technology Vocational Training Institute, Fuh Rene Che, has welcomed the offer, describing it as a lifeline for potential beneficiaries.
Fuh Rene has expressed gratitude to Hon Kum John Nji for constantly reaching out to his constituents.

“This is not the first time that Hon Kum John Nji is assisting students. We are happy he has extended the support to our institute. This is to us, is more than just a support but a life changer for those who will benefit from the offer,” Fuh Rene said of the largesse.

Institute Where Dreams Are Transformed

In a country where many graduates struggle to turn education into stable employment, New World Technology Vocational Training Institute, based in Yaounde, is proving that the right skills can change life trajectories.

Founded by celebrated renewable energy expert, Fuh Rene Che, the Messassi-Yaounde headquartered vocational training institute is already transforming the dreams of several young unemployed Cameroonians into reality.

Midwifed in 2019, New World Technologies, has been imposing itself as a leading company in the renewable energy sector in the country.

The company under the watch of Fuh Rene Che as Chief Executive Officer, CEO, has successfully installed solar panels in public and private structures across Cameroon.

Prominent amongst the projects realised is the installation of solar panels at the Yaounde Campus of ICT University and a similar realisation in the palace of Weh in Menchum Division.

At New World Technologies, we install solar panels, security cameras, ACs…when the youth come here, we train them and give them the certificates to become professionals,” he said stating that: “We are all calling on young Cameroonians who are unemployed to come to New World Technologies. We will give them quality training to permit them become self- employed”.
