Cameroonian refugees seeking refuge from the Anglophone crisis may soon be granted a protection status by the United States of America. The decision was announced by the country’s Homeland Security Secretary who added that the US recognise the arms conflict and the accompanying humanitarian consequences on the population. This comes five years after the crisis escalated into a full blown war.
Christians around the world today commemorate the feast of Good Friday, a day they believe Jesus Christ died on the cross. Good Friday marks the end of the Lenten season for Christians, and usually is 2 days before the feast of Easter.
A man died today in Tuboro, Far North Region. He was killed by unidentified assailants under the watchful eyes of his children. His wife was later kidnapped by the men and taken to an undisclosed location. The reason for this is yet to be known.
