There is uncertainty in major towns in the South West Region after separatist fighters declared a curfew along the Kumba-Mamfe, Kumba-Mbonge, Kumba-Buea roads. Not stating the duration of the move, they said it shall happen daily from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM, while businesses in the town of Kumba should shut down from 10PM.
Workers of sanitation company, HYSACAM have resumed work, cleaning the streets of Yaounde. Their resumption followed a couple of days of strike action that left the town filled with garbage heaps. The Minister of Housing and Urban Development as a result of the situation, ordered the company’s hierarchy to ameliorate the situation as fast as possible.
Cameroon will receive 62.404 billion FCFA from the World Bank to combat looming food insecurity. The initiative aims to positively impact 400 thousand Cameroonians, including

There are fears National Day celebrations in Cameroon will be called off. This comes following a decision to halt labour day celebrations last weekend by the Minister of Labour and Social Security. Many believe in the same fashion, the May 20th march and military parades will be called off by authorities with the COVID-19 pandemic as reason.

It is in this regard that a celebrity football game has been slated for May 20th at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium in Yaounde.
