The Paramount chief of the Bafaw people in Kumba, South West region of Cameroon has added his voice in condemning the unacceptable massacre today in Kumba.

“Our deepest condolences go to the bereaved families. Only the almighty God in his infinite mercy can give the affected families the fortitude to go through these challenging times. Our bleeding hearts are with them,” he said.

The chief said the town of Kumba had been suffering its own share of the crisis but that what happened today happens to be the worst thing to have happened in Kumba. The chief then denounced the actions of the assailants, saying such actions should never be condoned by whosoever.

“We say a big NO to the perpetration of any evil acts on the soil of Kumba no matter the reason. Evil is evil and can never be condoned in a civilized society. As peace-loving people, there can be no justification whatsoever for this satanic act,” he thundered.

The chief in his condemnation also assured the perpetrators of the act that their deeds will not go unpunished so long as God still rules.
