Two brothers in the Adamawa region are said to have traded blows in public after a disagreement over who was to represent the CPDM party in the February 9 elections.
Today’s issue of The Guardian Post reports that the brothers had been asked to come to a consensus over whose name was going to appear on the council list.
The younger brother, Robert taunted the other, Christophe stating that he should retire and let the youths have their say, leading to the confrontation.
Following the failure to reach a consensus, the CPDM party members in Ngoundere are said to have asked that the names of the two brothers be omitted from the final council list to be submitted.
Following the deadline of yesterday for the submission of lists to ELECAM, the body is expected to review candidacies submitted in the days ahead as part of the pre election processes.
