Six people have died and 32 others got seriously injured in a road accident on February 14, 2021, in Ngaoundere when a transport bus of the Danay Travel Agency lost control as it descended a cliff.
The accident occurred at a place called Mbe, almost 45 kilometers away from the city of Ngaoundere.
The 60-seater bus, which had left Ngaoundere for Garoua, capsized on the Mbe Cliff and killed six persons instantly. Over 32 others lay in hospital in critical condition.
The Governor of the Adamawa Region, Kildadi Taguiéké Boukar, and his état-major have been to the scene of the accident to assess the damage.
This latest incident adds to a long list of road accidents since the start of the New Year. Road accidents in 2021 have already claimed hundreds of lives across the national territory. So far, the deadliest of these accidents remain the accident at the Dschang Hill on January 27, which claimed 56 lives.
