– renews commitment to develop Cameroon’s football.
The lions striker recently met with FECAFOOT officials and other team mates.
Below is the communique issued by the president of the normalisation committee at FECAFOOT:

“On Wednesday 5th September 2018, Indomitable Lions player, Clinton NJIE, came to the meeting of the Normalization Committee at the headquarters of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT).

The exchanges focused on the request for explanations addressed to the player in June 2018 in connection with an event during the preparation of the Cameroon-Burkina Faso friendly match on May 27, 2018.

The player explained at length about the allegations levied against him, including the presence of girls in his hotel room during the Lions reunion.
His clear and precise explanations were heard by members of the Normalisation Committee.

Mr. Clinton NJIE also returned to the delay observed when he arrived at the venue and admitted his fault to his teammates and the whole group.

In both cases, and in the spirit of reconciliation currently prevailing in the den, the elements carried by the indomitable Lion Clinton NJIE were deemed sufficiently responsible by the Standards Committee not to give rise to the opening of the disciplinary proceedings against the player.

Moreover, Mr. Clinton NJIE informed the Normalisation Committee of his project to contribute to the development of youth football in partnership with FECAFOOT.
He also expressed interest in promoting a spirit of discipline among young people.

Clinton NJIE also announced his intention to apologise to all his teammates of the national team ‘A’ and the technical staff.

On these symbolic commitments of Mr. Clinton NJIE, the Normalisation Committee welcomed this fruitful and constructive meeting, at the same time as the player received valuable advice and encouragement to more discipline.

The President of the Normalisation Committee of FECAFOOT”
