Nkambe: Unidentified men exhume four skeletons from Muslim cemetery

There is consternation in Nkambe, headquarters of Donga Mantung Division of the North West following an unusual scenario noticed Tuesday January 10, 2023.

This is after some unidentified persons are reported to have exhumed atleast four skeletons from the muslim cemetery.

“We are just from the cemetery and we are wondering,” a source told MMI saying that, “Some unknown individuals visited the muslim cemetery here in Nkambe exhuming and making away the skeletons of some Muslims who died some years ago.”

The local population trooped the cemetery when the news broke out.

“Four tombs were discovered empty,” our source added.

Perpetrators of the act are still at large.

Locals say the incident is “unheard of in the Wimbum land.”

Traditional and administrative authorities are yet to react.
