Gunmen believed to be Amba fighters are reported to have abducted three persons and set a vehicle ablaze in Sabga, Tubah subdivision, Mezam division of the North West region.
The incident happened at about 9 am Wednesday March 23. The vehicle set ablaze was set to be the property of the Upper Noun Valley Development Authority, UNVDA .
The three persons kidnapped are said to be occupants of the vehicle set ablaze. Their kidnappers are said to have been taken into the unknown.
According to an eyewitness by name Oliver, no vehicle has been able to get to Ndop from Bamenda and to Bamenda from Ndop since the happenstance.
“I saw UNVDA on the Hilux vehicle that was burnt. The armed men said they have declared an indefinite lockdown in protest of the killings of innocent civilians by government forces in Ndop. The roads are blocked and no vehicle has entered or left Ndop after this incident,” Oliver told MIMI Mefo.
