A gang of at least seven suspected robbers, specialized in the stealing of motorbikes has been dismantled by the forces of law and order, in Ebolowa, in the South Region.
One among the gang was in charge of dismantling and remounting the stolen motorbikes so that their owners should not recognise them. In the raid which led to the arrest of the suspects, police sources revealed that at least seven dismantled Motorbikes were found in their possession.
Investigations into their activities are also said to have revealed that the men often trafficked their stolen property and sold them in Sangmalima, Mbalmayo, and Yaoundé.
Unfortunately for the gang, their activities were cut short on March 21, 2022 after their arrest by security forces.
They have been presented before a public prosecutor in court, with a trial said to take place soon.
